Ms. Gabrielle Vincent will be speaking LIVE FROM HAITI with us via webcam during our event as she is currently volunteering in Haiti.   She is the CEO of Sonje Ayiti, a group of Haitian and international humanitarians who are collaborating to uplift the Haitian community through education, economic development, and health promotion.

The 5000 Years of Chinese Dynasty Dance Costumes Show

A brief introduction to the long Chinese history showcasing some of the major dynasties up to the modern era of China (People’s Republic of China). Each garment from each dynasty has its long history rooted in the very heart of the Chinese culture. The presenter will perform a different dance style from that particular time period in the Chinese history to attract and in enlightening the interested of China culture.

“MABUHAY”

Watch them perform “Mabuhay” – a march-like music arranged for the rondalla (It is originally used to honor and salute notable individuals, to welcome guests and a way to show hospitality).

The Kayumanggi Alliance for Culture and Performing Arts was founded by Dr. Casimiro Garcia and Marites Fernandez Pellicer to primarily promote Philippine culture and Filipino talents in the southeastern states in America especially in the Atlanta area, its home base. The Alliance comprises of the Music, Dance, Visual Arts, Theater and Literature Divisions headed by several distinguished artists. One of the unique features of the Alliance is the Rondalla Stringed Ensemble, the first in Atlanta, which primarily provides live music for the folk dances. The Alliance was also the first to produce a play, written by Dr. Garcia, in Atlanta at 14th Street Playhouse,. The music (choir) and the dance divisions have been invited to perform in numerous civic and social events in Atlanta. The Kayumanggi Alliance is known for its professional and superior performance.
